In November 2020, the Yale Urban Design Workshop was awarded an Excellence in Urban Design and Planning award by the Connecticut Chapter of the American Institute of Archtiects for its work on the Resilient Bridgeport plan. This project establishes a strategy for coastal adaptation in the Bridgeport’s South End and Black Rock Harbor. The award jury commented:
“Everybody can relate to it and I think it’s more meaningful, I thought it was really comprehensive and well done, study addressed a lot of really interesting issues. They show evidence that they were community bases, and I think this was a good example of that.”
